Born on 28 March 1949, in Allada in the Republic of Benin, Mr Codjovi Étienne Joseph ADANDE pursued his career as a lecturer-researcher at the University of Abomey-Calavi until retirement. On the occasion of his retirement, his colleagues and former students, in collaboration with the Centre for Linguistic and Historical Studies by Oral Tradition (CELHTO), a specialized office of the African Union Commission based in Niamey, Niger, the African Heritage School (EPA), a university-level institution with a regional and international vocation, specialised in the conservation and mediation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, headquartered in Porto-Novo, Benin, and the Department of History and Archaeology of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (FLASH) of the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin, have decided to pay tribute to his work and career by offering him a Festschrift, scheduled for publication in December 2026.....
